Ancol Ergo Guillotine Nail Clipper
There are two types of clipper available, a guillotine action and a scissor action. These are the guillotine type.

With either type, be very careful not to cut the “quick” in the nail or claw. The quick is a blood vessel in the centre of the nail which if accidentally cut can be very painful for the dog and result in bleeding or possible infection.

If your pets claws are are very long then the quick inside the nail could also longer than normal. In this case it is recommended that the nail be cut in small pieces every few days to encourage the quick to recede naturally. The correct length of nail is when there is a tiny gap between the floor and the nail when the dog is standing upright. This allows for extra grip when the dog runs.

The Ancol Ergo Double-Sided Dog Brush is an ideal tool for making grooming your pet easier. It features rounded stainless steel pins that quickly and gently smoothen the coat and thick bristles that brush down to stimulate the natural oils. This brush is perfect for removing any loose hair that could result in snagging or matting. It has an ergonomically designed handle that makes it comfortable and easy to use. To make sure your pet enjoys the grooming process, introduce them to it slowly and make sure they are relaxed before you begin. When brushing, use the pin side first, gently brushing the hair in the direction of the fur growth, and avoid pulling or tugging on matted fur. Follow this up with the bristle side to smooth the coat. Be sure to give your dog lots of reassurance and pauses if they show signs of stress. Gradually increase the length of your grooming sessions as the pet gets more used to it.
